Mother was staying with us post op for a visit and Dad was at home minding the home fires, when he commented on the daffodils my mum had in a vase. He remarked how long they had lasted, as he had been watering them all week. I smiled and told him they were silk and didn't need watering! This has now been a long standing memory that brought a smile to everyone's face, including Dad's when he realised what he had been doing.
